National Tours

National circuits provide an opportunity to familiarise the rider with most of what a country has to offer the biker. This type of tour covers large geographical parts of a country and stops at a different hotel each of the night of the tour. Take for example our Scottish base where the landscape of the lowlands differs greatly from that of the highlands. Riders taking a tour of Scotland would sample both and gain a better understanding and appreciation of the areas they would like to return to and explore in greater detail. The one drawback that this type of tour has is that come rain hail or shine we must straddle the saddle each day and make our way to the next stop on the map! Therefore, this tour type will not appeal to some especially a pillion who is unaccustomed to long bike runs.

Some of our National Tours do not require as many hops and skips because they operate from just a few bases which afford some flexibility and journeys can be adjusted to catch better weather on the day. E.g. on an eight day tour four nights might be spent at each of two hotels; a kind of two centre holiday. Some riders or their pillions may not want to rude every day in which case they can take a day off on the days that we return to the same hotel. This tour option helps you explore a greater area than the fixed base tour option.

  • We use at least 3 star quality hotels or select privately owned hotels in the more remote areas.
  • We usually arrange Dinner Bed and Breakfast and test the menu in advance to access the quality of food offered.
  • All rooms will have private en-suite facilities and are booked on a single occupancy basis unless a rider is accompanied by a pillion or two riders request to share
