Premium European Motorcycle Touring for Discerning Riders

McTours specialises in luxury motorcycle tours across Scotland, the UK, and some of the most captivating regions of Europe.

Since our first major journey in 1998, a grand motorcycle adventure through 12 countries, we've remained committed to delivering exceptional motorcycle touring holidays for riders who value comfort, culture, and unforgettable roads.

Our guests range from seasoned travellers to mature riders seeking relaxed, scenic routes, and from solo adventurers to couples enjoying a shared passion for exploring Europe by motorcycle.

Our Touring Philosophy

A great motorcycle tour should be more than a ride, it should be an immersive experience. Every McTours journey blends exhilarating roads with high-quality accommodation, fine dining, and cultural discovery. Whether you're touring Europe on a motorcycle, exploring Scotland's rugged landscapes, or joining one of our European motorbike tours, we ensure every detail is thoughtfully curated.

What Makes McTours Different

Expert Guides & Support

Our guides are experienced riders with deep local knowledge. Many are trained by the Institute of Advanced Motorists. Selected tours include support vehicles for luggage and assistance.

Transparent Pricing

If you book, we go. Tours are never cancelled due to low numbers.

A Typical Day on Tour

A McTours day balances riding, rest, and exploration. We avoid highways in favour of scenic, winding roads, from the best motorcycle routes in Scotland to the dramatic landscapes of the Alps, Pyrenees, Dordogne, Tuscany, and beyond.

Expect:
140–230 miles per day
4–6 hours in the saddle Regular breaks every 50 miles
Stops at cafés, viewpoints, and cultural landmarks
Our routes often include single-track sections, mountain passes, and coastal roads, the kind of riding that makes motorcycle tours in Europe so memorable.

Motorcycle Hire for Your Tour

At our Scottish base we maintain a small fleet of late model well maintained motorcycles. For tours elsewhere, we work with over 60 reputable European dealerships to supply the right bike for your adventure, whether you prefer an adventure bike, sport tourer, cruiser, or classic roadster.

You’re also welcome to bring your own motorcycle, provided it's insured for group riding across all countries on your itinerary.

Accommodation That Enhances the Journey

Quality accommodation is central to the McTours experience. We personally vet every hotel, ensuring excellent food, comfort, and facilities. Many of our motorbike tours in Europe operate from luxury resorts ideal for riders and non-riders alike.

Our partners include independent country clubs and trusted brands such as Hilton and Best Western.

Our Four Touring Styles

1. National Motorcycle Tours
Ideal for riders wanting to experience a country in depth, such as motorcycle tours of Scotland, motorcycle tours of Italy, or motorcycle tours in Spain. These tours move between hotels and cover a wide range of landscapes.

2. Regional Motorcycle Tours
Our most popular format. These European motorcycle tours operate from a single luxury base, offering daily circuits of up to 200 miles. Perfect for riders with non-riding partners.

3. Short Motorcycle Tours
Five or Six-day breaks with three to five days of riding. Ideal for a quick escape or a first taste of guided motorcycle tours.

Bespoke Motorcycle Tours
Custom itineraries for individuals, groups, or corporate clients. Whether you want to explore the Pyrenees, ride the North Coast 500 by motorcycle, or plan a special celebration, we'll design a tour around your goals and budget.
